Job Title: Red Seal Automotive Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on all makes and models, specializing in Ford vehicles.
  • Accurately diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and more.
  • Adhere to manufacturer guidelines and dealership standards to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements, including tools, techniques, and Ford-specific technologies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair needs and solutions in an approachable and clear manner when required.
  • Use dealership tools and systems to document completed work, inspections, and recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while complying with workplace health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Certification in Automotive Service Technician trade.
  • Strong diagnostic and technical skills with experience working on modern automotive systems.
  • Familiarity with Ford vehicles and systems is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, interact professionally, and ensure an exceptional experience from the first hello to post-sale follow-up.
  • Sales Excellence: Generate and follow up on leads, including cold calling potential customers, and transform inquiries into successful sales.
  • Product Knowledge: Become an expert on our new and certified pre-owned vehicles, as well as our after-sales services, so you can confidently educate customers on their benefits.
  • Relationship Building: Foster trust and rapport with clients, ensuring long-term satisfaction and loyalty.

What We're Looking For:

  • Sales-Savvy: Prior experience in automotive, hospitality, electronics, furniture, real estate, insurance, or pharmaceutical sales is an asset but not required.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with computers and adaptable to new technologies.
  • Organized & Communicative: Exceptional time management, organization, and communication skills (especially over the phone).
  • Coachable & Collaborative: A continuous learner who thrives independently and as part of a team.
  • Driver's License: A valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
